U. S. HistoryA new series from the History Channel explores 10 different days in U.S. history that significantly changed the country. It promises to bring some of the more obscure events in our history out in the limelight for a new look.

The program is at 9PM and there are two 1 hour segments each night for five days. It looks very interesting. Be sure to report back if you get a chance to see it.

    10 Days That Changed America

I watched the first two segments last night. Even though I was familiar with both of these two events (Battle at Antietam in the Civil War and the Mystic massacre of the Pequot tribe in early colonial times) I guess I had not been aware of the significance to American history that these two events represented. In general, they were standard History channel reporting but they were very informative. These first two shows sure did highlight the level of violence that we have been capable of in our history.
