History Today11/11/1620 - In what is now Provincetown Harbor near Cape Cod, the Mayflower Compact is signed on the Mayflower, establishing the basic laws for the Plymouth Colony.

Remember the November 11 date affixed to the Mayflower Compact was from the Julian calendar. Today we use the Gregorian calendar and with that calendar it was signed on November 21. See the TimePage review of the new History Channel movie "Desperate Crossing" in earlier post.
