    History Today11/30/1782 - American Revolutionary War: In Paris, representatives from the United States and the Kingdom of Great Britain sign preliminary peace articles (later formalized in the 1783 Treaty of Paris).

    The American Continental Congress ratified the treaty on January 14, 1784. British ratification occurred on April 9, 1784 and ratifications exchanged on 12 May 1784.
