     Welcome to TimeLog

TimeLog is a place for you and I (the TimePage webmaster) to discuss these ideas as well as to share knowledge of U. S. History and interesting new and related information. It is also a place where I can post information about the TimePage and you can let me know if you have any complaints or suggestions relating to the site iteself. The TimePage was mentioned in the March Issue of School Library Monthly a publication of Libraries Unlimited.  The article is about generations in general and specifically points to the many web sites and blogs devoted to the subject.  The timepage was honored to be listed as a source for information regarding Strauss and Howe's generational ideas.  The article is not yet available on the their website but will appear in the archives after the print run.  Thanks to School Library Monthly and the author of the article for the recognition.

As part of an effort to refocus the TimePage web site, I have decided to include some of my genealogical data in its pages.  The first step in that effort is a single page that attempts to relate my family tree to the social cycles presented in the TimePage.  I have called the page Family Generations and for now it should be considered a rough draft.  Eventually I hope to thoroughly integrate these data into the TimePage timelines.

I have not built a site map for the TimePage since my last overhaul of the site.

Before I get too far into the process of oversight I think I should build an up-to-date site map for maintenance purposes.

I will be building the map on an ongoing basis after the fold.

A large part of the content of the TimePage site are the U. S. history timelines that accompany each of the history cycle pages. The data was loaded in a haphazard way over time and there are some holes and missing data scattered among the finished sets. There are also a few pages with obsolete page formatting.  I need to update the pages, finish up the time lines and validate any embedded links that are in them.

I have an application that will build graphic time lines from lists of events and birthdates. Eventually I would like to embed a small chart for each era that includes the most significant events during that time period. That is a little way down the line but definitely on the list.

Below the fold is a list of the pages with timeline information where I can track the status of each.

TimePageI get an occasional request for information that may be used for citing the TimePage in school papers and such. The following information is taken from an old FAQ that has been removed from the TimePage and should provide the information needed.
