Here's a link to one of my favorite history sites.  History News Network (HNN) is a collection point for news and commentary on today's events as they are related to history and the people who make history.  They provide a forum for a lot of bloggers and reporters who provide a very unique perspective on the news.

    World History

Just ran across this interesting web site that claims to present timelines and geographical mapping for all of World History.  Presently, it only extends through the year 500 AD but the site claims that it will be adding Middle Age and Modern timelines in the future.  It is worth a look if you are trying to get an overview of history.

The BBC has posted a wonderful British History website.  The most impressive feature on the site is the interactive timelines.   There are many other resources listed, which I haven't yet explored, but it looks like it might be a great place to start for a view of British History.
